ABLI contributing to thought leadership booklet on insolvency

The Insolvency & Bankruptcy Board of India and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom have jointly published INSOLVENCY: NOW & BEYOND, a thought leadership document on insolvency regime.

The booklet is available here.

The booklet includes eight thought leadership articles covering topics from the role of directors in insolvency, the operation of ipso facto clauses, to the assignment of actionable claims and the use of schemes of arrangement, to name a few. Apart from India, the booklet also considers other key jurisdictions such as the United Kingdom and Singapore.

ABLI is delighted to contribute to the preparation and release of the booklet. In particular, experts from its Founding Partners, Allen & Gledhill LLP (Kenneth Lim and Chew Jing Wei), Rajah & Tann Asia (Sim Kwan Kiat) and WongPartnership LLP (Clayton Chong) authored three reports in the booklet, with editorial assistance from ABLI.

In March, those authors and ABLI were in attendance at an online discussion session where all authors gave overviews of their drafts and fielded questions from the audience.

We are grateful for EY India’s restructuring team for the opportunity to contribute.

ABLI continues to watch the insolvency space in Asia with keen interest.
