ABLI research projects are expected to be
products of a public-private partnership, with academics and private
practitioners working together in formulating solutions that could then be
relayed to Judges and policy makers for validation and implementation.
Project Selection Criteria
Research projects shall satisfy the following selection criteria. A project should
(1) Promote the convergence of business laws in Asia;
(2) Produce results which can be of practical utility to be used by legislative bodies, judiciaries, or
other interested parties;
(3) Be the product of collaborative work conducted by jurists across Asian jurisdictions; and
(4) Have a pan-Asian perspective which takes due account of Asian’s various legal traditions.
